Our Mission & Vision
To honor Kian Carmello Hamilton’s legacy by actively working to prevent youth violence through education and empowerment, providing compassionate support to families impacted by loss, and advocating for safer communities where every young person can thrive.
We envision a future free from the tragedy of youth violence, where no other family endures the immense pain of losing a child senselessly. We see communities where empathy triumphs over anger, where young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential, and where Kian’s enduring spirit inspires hope and positive action for generations to come.
Turning Vision into Action
Every effort of the Kian Carmello Hamilton Foundation is guided by our mission and vision. We are committed to creating meaningful change by preventing youth violence and supporting those in need, in honor of Kian’s memory.
Host workshops, school presentations, and after-school programs that educate teens on conflict resolution, leadership, and kindness, giving them tools to build a future free from violence.
Provide resources and assistance to families who have lost loved ones or been affected by youth violence – including counseling referrals, support groups, and help navigating the healing process.
Organize annual events and scholarships in Kian’s name to celebrate his life and inspire others, ensuring his story remains at the heart of everything we do.
Encourage and sponsor constructive activities for youth (like sports, arts, and community service) that foster teamwork, self-esteem, and healthy relationships, steering young people away from violence.
Work with schools, local government, and law enforcement to promote policies and programs that reduce violence, such as improved school safety measures and community awareness campaigns.
